Marielle Plaisir creates with a greedy appetite. Insatiable chameleon with a limitless passion for images, and multifaceted artist, Marielle Plaisir has been specially recognized for her migrant monumental artwork.
From her education at the Fine-Arts and Decorative Arts of Bordeaux, she came away with a vision: “Creation, no matter the shape or form it takes, it has to be displayed poetically and improve our lives. She is a decorator, painter, illustrator, in-situ sculptor, papercut artist, lacemaker, in a way, a wild creator… Her artistic concerns have led her to work in other areas including home accessories, scenography, books for youth and animated pictures.
Marielle Plaisir is a believer that the barriers that separate the arts and the graphics should be blurred, narrowing the distance between them. Following this inspiration, Marielle Plaisir founded her own factory ‘Les barbares’. There, each piece off work in which she is involved, respects the final mission that is to develop an original and audacious style.
Marielle Plaisir is interested in the unique and the unusual. She always endeavors to develop and process it in her own personal way. She likes to work with colors and lights that provide warmth and awaken memories of previous experiences. She does not want to define herself within a particular niche or style. Marielle Plaisir is both a dreamer and an idealist.
